1000 Books in 10 Years; Vol. 107; Munch, by Ulrich Bischoff

This is another book from the Taschen collection. It does not offer a comprehensive collection of Edvard Munch’s paintings, but have enough to give a broad view of the type of work Munch produced, and its author is sure to mention many significant Munch paintings by name so that the reader can look up those paintings which are not featured in the book. The text offers minimal biographical information and instead relies on commentary regarding the works themselves, so if you are looking for a biography of Munch, this is not the book for you. Instead you will get a great introduction to one of the great artists of the 20th century.
